The umbrella <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vlaanderen.be\/premies-voor-renovatie\/mijn-verbouwpremie\">My Renovation Premium<\/a> (until 2019 it was called the Flemish renovation premium) is one of them.<\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>My VerbouwPremie is a subsidy from the Flemish government to encourage owners to renovate their homes and make energy-saving investments. Anyone investing in an existing house, flat, apartment complex or non-residential building (such as an office building) can apply for financial support from the Flemish government. The works eligible for My Renovation Premium are thereby divided into several categories. These are investments intended for the following purposes:<\/p><\/span><span><ul><\/span><span><li>Windows and doors<\/li><\/span><span><li>Roof<\/li><\/span><span><li>Exterior walls<\/li><\/span><span><li>Floor<\/li><\/span><span><li>Interior renovation<\/li><\/span><span><li>Electricity and plumbing<\/li><\/span><span><li>Gas condensing boiler<\/li><\/span><span><li>Heat pump<\/li><\/span><span><li>Heat pump boiler<\/li><\/span><span><li>Solar water heater<\/li><\/span><span><li>Solar panels<\/li><\/span><span><\/ul><\/span><span><p><\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>When you <a href=\"https:\/\/aquaconsult-backup.popeye.cloud\/en\/moisture-problems\/\">moisture problems<\/a> want to prevent or combat, investment will mainly focus on exterior walls and interior renovation. Owner-occupiers (3 income categories)<\/span><\/h3><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>You can apply for My Home Improvement Premium for the home you use as your main residence and if you are the owner of it; in the broadest sense of the word. Owner includes full ownership, usufruct or long lease.<\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>The amount of the subsidy, besides the type of work, depends on two factors.<\/p><\/span><span><ul><\/span><span><li>The family income of the owner(s) living in the property (as well as their legal partner, married or legally cohabiting), according to the most recent assessment notice at the time of the premium application.<\/li><\/span><span><li>The family composition at the time of the application, in other words the number of dependants at the time of the premium application along.<\/li><\/span><span><\/ul><\/span><span><p><\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>Do you actually live together and your partner is not an owner? Then your partner's income will not be taken into account.<\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>To be entitled to My Rebuilding Premium as an owner-occupier, you must fall into one of the three income categories.<\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\" ><h4 class=\"font-673431 h4 font-weight-500 text-color-103889-color\" ><span><em>Category 1: highest income category<\/em><\/span><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>As an owner-occupier belonging to the highest income category, you are not entitled to subsidies for all works. You are only eligible for works that are energy-efficient, such as roof, wall, and floor insulation, high-efficiency glazing, heat pumps, heat pump boilers or solar water heaters. These are the conditions:<\/p><\/span><span><ul><\/span><span><li>You are the sole owner and your annual income exceeds 53,880 euros.<\/li><\/span><span><li>You are the sole owner with one dependent person or a couple with no dependent person and your annual income exceeds 76,980 euros.<\/li><\/span><span><li>Again, you add 4,320 euros per additional dependent person.<\/li><\/span><span><li>As a non-owner-occupier, you also fall under this category.<\/li><\/span><span><\/ul><\/span><span><p><\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>Be sure to check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vlaanderen.be\/premies-voor-renovatie\/mijn-verbouwpremie\/wie-kan-mijn-verbouwpremie-aanvragen\">Site of the Flemish government<\/a> for a list of all works falling under this category.<\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\" ><h4 class=\"font-673431 h4 font-weight-500 text-color-103889-color\" ><span><em>Category 2: middle income category<\/em><\/span><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>Do you fall in the middle income category? Then you are eligible for premium in all categories of works (except gas condensing boiler), but the subsidy will be less. The conditions are as follows:<\/p><\/span><span><ul><\/span><span><li>You are the sole owner and have an income greater than EUR 42,340 and less than or equal to EUR 53,880.<\/li><\/span><span><li>Your annual income exceeds 59,270 euros and is less than or equal to 76,980 euros, and you are the sole owner with one dependent person or a couple with no dependent person.<\/li><\/span><span><li>As with the lowest income category, increase the amounts above by \u20ac4,320 for each additional dependent.<\/li><\/span><span><\/ul><\/span><span><p><\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\" ><h4 class=\"font-673431 h4 font-weight-500 text-color-103889-color\" ><span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Category 3: lowest income category<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>As an owner-occupier, do you fall into the lowest income category? Then you are eligible for all categories of works and entitled to the highest premium. These are the conditions for the lowest income category:<\/p><\/span><span><ul><\/span><span><li>You are the sole owner and have an income greater than 24,230 and less than or equal to 42,340.<\/li><\/span><span><li>Your income is greater than 36,340 and less than or equal to 59,270 euros and you are the sole owner with 1 dependent person or you are a couple with no dependent person.<\/li><\/span><span><li>For each dependent who joins, you have to add \u20ac4,320 to the above amounts.<\/li><\/span><span><\/ul><\/span><span><p><\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\" ><h4 class=\"font-673431 h4 font-weight-500 text-color-103889-color\" ><span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Category 4: lowest income category (new since 1 July 2025)<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>Since 1 July 2025, a fourth income category has been added to My Rebuilding Premium. The former lowest income category was split into category 3 and category 4, with category 4 now representing the group with the very lowest income.<\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>You fall into category 4 when:<\/p><\/span><span><ul><\/span><span><li>You are the sole owner and your annual income does not exceed \u20ac24,230.<\/li><\/span><span><li>You have an income of up to \u20ac36,340, and you are the sole owner with one dependent person, or you are a couple with no dependants.<\/li><\/span><span><li>For each additional dependent person, you may increase this income ceiling by \u20ac4,320.<\/li><\/span><span><\/ul><\/span><span><p><\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\" ><h4 class=\"font-673431 h4 font-weight-500 text-color-103889-color\" ><span><em>! New since 2025<\/em><\/span><\/h4><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>Do you want to claim My Rebuilding Premium after 1 July 2025? Then it is best to take into account some new rules of the game concerning income categories:<\/p><\/span><span><ul><\/span><span><li>As owner-occupiers, do you fall into income category 2, 3 or 4, and <strong>do you own another property in addition to the one for which the premium is claimed<\/strong>? Then you are automatically classified in the highest income category (category 1) and automatically lose the right to increased premium rates. This classification applies regardless of actual income or family composition. This measure should prevent people with substantial properties from unfairly benefiting from support measures for lower incomes. An exception applies to those who rent that extra property to a housing company.<\/li><\/span><span><li>In addition, a <strong>ceiling introduced on the number of square metres for which you can get a premium as an applicant in category 1 or 2<\/strong> for works on the building envelope. From now on, a maximum of 100 m\u00b2 will apply for roof insulation and external wall insulation, 75 m\u00b2 for floor insulation and 20 m\u00b2 for windows and doors.<\/li><\/span><span><\/ul><\/span><span><p><\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>So for higher earners and investors, the premium amount will be more limited from 1 July 2025 than before. Read more about the exact changes on the site of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vlaanderen.be\/premies-voor-renovatie\/mijn-verbouwpremie\/wat-wijzigt-aan-mijn-verbouwpremie-vanaf-1-juli-2025\">Flemish Government<\/a>.<\/span><\/p><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\" ><h3 class=\"font-673431 fontsize-157814 font-weight-500 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>2. Landlords through a social letting agency<\/span><\/h3><\/div><div class=\"clear\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_custom_heading_wrap colorlinkblue\"><div class=\"heading-text el-text\"  id=\"list_font_size\"><p class=\"font-673431 fontsize-192079 font-weight-400 text-color-103889-color\" ><span>Do you rent out a house or flat through a housing company or social rental agency? Then you are always eligible for the highest premium amounts for all types of renovations. These premiums are similar to those for owner-occupiers with the lowest income, except that your income does not play a role in this situation.
